Approach & Execution

How We Modernized a World
of Gujarat's Heritage for Global
Audiences

Conceptualization & Design

  • The entire stall was conceptualized keeping in mind the idea of 'visitors in the middle' theme, to give equal importance to every vendor present in the pavilion.
  • From the design stage onwards, a wide movement corridor was envisioned for relaxed foot traffic movement
  • The design of the stall was construed in a manner which gives equal importance to the various genres of Gujarat's artistic prowess, and also to personal vendor branding
  • Dedicated space along each stall inside the pavilion was also provided, for easy visitor-vendor interaction, and ensuring that foot traffic is not impeded

Execution

  • At the Entry of the pavilion, the vision statements of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendra Patel were communicated, showcasing the concept of 'Self-Reliant & Self-Sufficient India' as a precursor to the unique local showings of the stall
  • The structure of the pavilion symbolically represented the shape of protective palms of Government of Gujarat uplifting and promoting the artisans of handicraft and handlooms
  • 50+ vendors were given equal space to ensure interactions with visitors and promote the local brands of the State of Gujarat
  • To engage social media, unique photo corners and displays were also created inviting audiences to share their unique experiences on their social media platforms

Impact

  • The pavilion was well received by the audiences, who were enthralled by the large showing of Gujarat's artistic varieties
  • There was a lot of buzz on social media, wherein visitors shared their purchases, experiences and favorite displays across their platforms
  • Vendors also very graciously received the endeavors, especially the display space provided to them
